Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in the US. Known for her work in film and television from the mid-80s onwards, she has received various accolades like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was raised living in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by her aunt in New York New York. At the age of Bassett was about five, she and her sister were moved to St. Petersburg, Florida to live with their mother who was been divorced from her father. In high school, Bassett watched John Steinbeck's drama Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided she wanted to pursue a career as an actor. Yale University New Haven Connecticut awarded her a bachelor's degree (1980), in African American study, and an advanced degree (1983) in the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale In 1997, they were married. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in 1980. Graduate of Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (7th grade), Azalea Middle School (8th and 9th grade), Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her leading roles, Ramonda, in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
